Mission-Ministry Vision Statement

OUR MISSION
To work together to share Christ’s love passionately to develop a healthy ministry, which empowers and mobilizes God’s people for mission.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO
I. To be obedient to the Great Commission by allowing the Holy Spirit to empower and mobilize us to go and serve where the Lord leads us to.
II. Encourage each other as the body of Christ to reach the lost and serve suffering people through various ministries of the gospel.
III. Maintain a ministry that revolves around the Great Commission priorities, believing that Paul, like Jesus not only gave us the mandate, but also modeled the method of ministry through his life, (Matt. 28:18-20; Eph. 4:12-16; 2 Tim. 2:2).
IV. Allowing us to be trained leaders in “discipling,” centering on “every member a bible student.”
V. Making our ministry a Life-giving center for missionary outreach by equipping us to be faithful witnesses of Jesus, teaching “every member to be a missionary.”
VI. Encourage each other to expect miracles in their ministries to the glory of Jesus Christ, that our ministry may be a healthy Life-giving outreach.
VII. To faithfully support each other in prayers and to share our resources as we are able to.
The call to follow Jesus involves our willingness to give up our worldly security and comfort and to surrender our life to a life of servant hood. We must be willing to take up our cross and deny ourselves and be willing to lose our life for the sake of Christ, not because our life is useless, but because He asks for it. He is Lord of our life and when we follow Jesus, we will know what it means to live abundantly now and to have eternal life as well. Paul said “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
A. To glorify God by helping the impoverished communities in Zambia to improve the quality of life by providing tools, equipment and training for self-reliance so that through their income they will be able to support their families enabling the children to attend school.
B. To support orphans and vulnerable children and their families/care givers towards economic and social self-reliance, such as life skills and vocational training. We proclaim the glory of God by enabling those communities to break the vicious cycle of poverty, illiteracy, HIV/AIDS, and other vices through development of knowledge, values and skills that enables creativity, responsibility and healthy lifestyles.

OUR OBJECTIVES
To strengthen the capacity of the community through community led responses to poverty.
To assist households to take positive actions to improve their livelihood.
To facilitate the improvement of the rights of the orphans and vulnerable children.
To respond to HIV/AIDS through means or methods that must strengthen family life and empower individual families.
To share experiences and lessons learnt and scale up interventions with national collaborating partners.

HOW WE CAN DO IT
A. By community based entrepreneurship
Under this entry point, we empower the poor by providing tools, equipment and training for self-reliance, which is essential in the fight against poverty. We also support efforts addressing the complex factors that perpetuate poverty and disempowerment. We support the orphans and vulnerable children and their families/care givers at household level to own economic and social self-reliance, such as life skills and vocational training.
B. By community based project management
We aim at bringing true community transformation and self reliance by sustainable projects that are community initiated, driven and owned by the community, thus eliminating the dependence on long term support from outside sources.
C. By community based resource management
We aim at developing true household resource management and improvement of livelihood. We support efforts that enable the community to get a fair share of the resources.
D. By community based holistic programs
Our aim is to address physical, social, rational, economic, educational, and spiritual issues.
E. By community based advocacy on HI V/AIDS:
We support efforts that enable the communities overcome the impact of HIV/AIDS through awareness campaigns, workshops, seminars and peer education that are biblically based.
We support efforts in HIV/AIDS prevention, management and effective support system to those infected and affected.

All this must be done on the principle that our ministry must be Christ centered and a Christian witness to the community.

Bible Verse

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us — whatever we ask — we know that we have what we asked of him.
(1 John 5:14-15)
