The container of 2010
Monday, 26 July 2010 13:47
After a long journey, the fully loaded container of 2010 has now arrived in Ndola, Zambia. It all started with many hours of packing during the long winter back home in Sweden.
Som days were so cold the the packing progressed slowly. But after patient work the container was finally filled with gifts that
had been collected in cooperation with the help organization Heart to Heart (www.hearttoheart.se).
Every inch of the container was full with tools, machines, clothes, cloths, soap, sewing machines, hospital utilities, furniture och much more.
From Sweden the container was sent by boat to the harbour in Dar Es Salam, Tanzania, och from there by truck via Nakonde, the
border city to Zambia, all the way to the final destination in Ndola. Here the container was placed in the McKenzie area where the carpentry is.
Last Saturday the the joyfilled message arrived with papers from the authorities giving permission to break the seal on the container. So it can now be opened and the long journey is now finally done.
What is now started is the huge work with styructuring and sorting the content. Just to mention a few, the large amount of clothes will be sorted and the tools that will not be used in the carpentry will be packaged and handed out as startup kits for people in need.

Bible Verse

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?
(James 2:15-16)
